I have worked with animals for 17 years beginning at my local kennels in 2001, helping dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities become man’s best friends. After working with pets for both small and large corporations, I became a full-time veterinary technician and a part-time dog groomer. A local dog trainer was impressed with how I handled his dogs while at the Veterinarian’s office, and he taught me his training techniques that paired well with my extensive experience. Since then, I became officially certified in K-9 training, and I created Guardian K9 Training based on three principles—honesty, trust, respect, and happiness for all clients and their closest furry friends.
I provide quality training at a fair rate because I believe everyone benefits from a well-behaved dog – especially the dog! I also believe that NO training routine should be the same for every dog. Each dog should be evaluated and treated for their different, individual, and lovable personalities. It is proven that the ideal classroom for children is possible when the teacher connects with each student to enhance and expedite the learning process. This applies to dogs as well.
I have years of experience helping and handling dogs both medically and psychologically which, when combined with my training skills, allows me to connect with each dog and guide their learning process. This is done by finding the right balance of praise and discipline, which makes training effective and fun. Call today and learn how Guardian K-9 can help your lifelong companion connect and learn!
I am very happy with the results my dog achieved through Dana. She asked what I was looking for and she had a process to get my dog there. Results were quicker than expected. On the leash or off people comment how well behaved he is as a puppy. Dana has helped me enjoy my dog anywhere I take him as are strangers who come up to him. It is also nice to be able to contact her with questions. Highly recommended.
We started training with Dana a couple months later after getting our first puppy. She has been amazing. She's extremely reliable and she will even let you call her or text her in between sessions incase you are having any issues. We can now take our puppy off leash to any parks, beaches or even other peoples homes and not have to worry about his behavior. I wouldn't recommend anyone else!!!
Very professional and friendly. I'm very pleased with all her guidenes in training my dog who had problems with interacting with some people. I'm very pleased with all the hard work she has helped me give to my dog. She will be my service dog and next training for diabetes training. Job well done.
Dana is truly a nice person. She worked with my wife and I to erase all of Cosmo's (the Rottweiler) bad habits. Aggression towards the children on the block. Aggression towards other dogs. She explained to us the first day we met what she planned to do and delivered on all counts. No exceptions she did exactly what she promised. Cosmo will sit and let the kids on the block pet him. They can even walk him. Money well spent. Thanks Dana.
